Why We Built This Site
Nebraska court records are public subject to court rules and access limits, but Lancaster has more than one clerk route. The Clerk of the District Court maintains district civil, felony, domestic-relations, paternity, equity, and appellate records. The County Court office handles county civil, small claims, probate, adoption, misdemeanor, traffic, and felony preliminary records. Lancaster also has a separate Juvenile Court. Sorting those roles before a search can prevent a request from reaching the wrong counter.
The resource points readers to the official JUSTICE case-information service, Lancaster calendar channels, and the appropriate clerk. It does not replace a court's Register of Actions, calendar, order, or certified copy.
What You Will Find Here
The docket pages explain the official county and state routes for common court-record questions. They are arranged by record type so the court label and access method are clear before a search begins.
- Docket references: routes for criminal dockets and civil dockets in Lancaster County.
- Dates and settings: official calendar sources and clerk confirmation steps for the court calendar.
- Case lookups: the party-name and case-number fields used for a case search.
- Record requests: clerk-held court records, document descriptions, and certified-copy choices.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference resource, not a Nebraska court, clerk office, or government agency. It cannot retrieve a live official docket, make a court setting, change a hearing, remove or seal a filing, issue a certified copy, or give legal advice. Only the court that owns a case and its clerk can take those actions.
- It cannot determine whether a particular case result is complete or current.
- It cannot confirm a setting that has been reset after a calendar was posted.
- It cannot release a restricted, sealed, juvenile, or redacted record.
- It cannot make a payment or waive an appearance for a court user.
- It cannot advise a person about the effect of an order, charge, or deadline.
For an official copy or a definitive court-date answer, contact the Lancaster clerk office or court division that maintains the underlying record.
Search Partners
Some docket pages carry a search box supplied by an outside provider. That provider runs its own product, pricing, and data practices. A paid result or an advertisement does not become an official Lancaster County court record. Official records remain with the court and clerk identified in the case.
